Dick DeVos recently appointed Phil Dolci as the Chief Executive Officer of The Stow Company Inc. The company, founded in 1984, is a small part of the Windquest Group. Stow Company is located in Holland, Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana. The Company employs 280 workers in its two locations. Dolci succeeds the retiring Frank Newman, 67. Dolci, 48, has extensive managerial experience in marketing and manufacturing. He most recently served as CEO of the Crosman Corporation, the company that manufactures CO2 and air-powered pistols, rifles and accessories. Dolci received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and went on to garner his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
The man making the appointment of Dolci as CEO is Dick DeVos, the son of the founder of Amway and a long-time benefactor to educational programs and countless charities in Michigan. DeVos’s commitment to the state of Michigan was strong enough that he ran for Governor of Michigan only to lose to the current governor, Jennifer Granholm in 2012. DeVos is listed as the 67th richest person in the United States and is worth $5.1 billion.
DeVos and his wife Betty both believe that the progress of people is enhanced by giving them the resources for learning. In this way, people can lead more fulfilling, productive lives. The couple’s giving benefits schools and educational resources in the state. They both have strong roots in Michigan and have shown continuing support for schools, hospitals, and programs helping the citizens of the state of Michigan.
