Herbalife and the Red Cross Unite to Ensure an Adequate Supply of Blood

A practicing physician, Dr. Kristy Applehans assumed a seat on the board of the Los Angeles chapter of the American Red Cross at the beginning of this year. In addition to her practice and duties with the Red Cross Dr. Applehans is employed by Herbalife in the company’s Global Post-Market Safety Surveillance Department.

Herbalife was established by Mark Hughes. The company’s first product was a protein shake to control weight. Herbalife’s mission statement is to “Change the nutritional habits of the world.”

As a doctor, Kristy Applehans fully understands the importance of hospitals having an adequate supply of blood for transfusions. Herbalife Nutrition has teamed with the Red Cross to educate the public on the need to donate blood. The program Herbalife and the Red Cross launched is called #MissingType. The campaign’s objective is to ensure hospitals have enough blood on hand when it is needed most.

It seems only natural to Dr. Applehan that Herbalife and the Red Cross be allied. To explain this belief she cites the goals of her employer and the Red Cross have in common. Both are devoted to the preservation of life and health and share a commitment to bringing people together to help their neighbors in times of crisis.

Are you are interested in giving a little of yourself to save a life? Contact the American Red Cross and get on the schedule to give blood at a blood drive near you.

Five years after Mark Hughes began selling his protein shake from the trunk of his car in 1980 Herbalife was realizing $423 million in sales. After the company began offering its products in Asia, Europe, New Zealand, and Mexico their sales more than doubled. Today, sports drinks, protein bars, vitamins, and other personal care products are part of Herbalife’s product line.

Dierdre Baggot, The Ultimate Middleman

This is a motto that Deirdre Baggot has modeled her career by. She never compromises her beliefs, especially for things that don’t involve her but even more impressively, for the issues that do. Integrity like that comes from wanting to help those in need without worrying about who gets their feelings hurt along the way, because if your intentions are in the right place then it will always work itself out in the end. I mean, even blind people can see the truth.

Deirdre Baggot has been on the forefront of Reformed Healthcare Bundled Payments. Instead of just worrying about making the physician more money or putting all of her focus on just saving the patient money, she has been able to broker the idea of saving both time, energy and money for both parties. She has been able to prove that both the physician and the hospital can save money meanwhile the patient and their experience can come at a lower and cheaper cost. This is the benefit behind the concept of bundled payments. View ideamensch.com to know more.

This is nothing new for Ms. Baggot as she has proven the platform of bundled payments works and has even consulted multiple firms on the issue successfully. She has been invited by many to speak on the issue and to just share her experience, both in the medical realm and financial sector. She comes highly recommended with an education from the University of Colorado where she received her Philosophy degree and Chicago’s Loyola University Graduate School of Business where she received her master’s degree in Business Administration.

To be successful means to think big. To think big means that you are thinking about more than just you, you’re involving the well being of others. This has been a common thread for Ms. Deirdre Baggot if you follow her career and her achievements. Deirdre Baggot is one for the truth. Her strong convictions to tell it like it is is what attracts innovative solutions everywhere that she goes and in everything that she does. She is a true testament for what it means to plant your own garden, because to do this, means you believe in tomorrow.

Neuroscience Better make way for Jorge Moll

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication,” this is a quote that happens to be one of Jorge Moll’s favorites. He has spent most of his life trying to chase after the career he has always dreamed of and today has been able to achieve it. Moll is known for being the Founder and the Head of D’Or Institute of Research and Education.

He has stated through the years that the key to achieving success comes from being open, skillful and also transparent. Moll makes sure that he takes each of these skills and uses them in his career each day. One thing he has stated that he wishes he would have done when he was younger is not holding onto ideas or plans for longer than necessary. Moll says when you come up with good ideas that it is better to either go with them or that you should move on to the next idea as quickly as you possibly can.

When it comes to Jorge Moll’s typical days, they are filled with any other businessman, with tons of meetings filled with a variety of different subjects concerning the institution. One thing Moll says that he likes the most about the meeting is the variety of ideas that are all reaching together and being implemented into one bigger idea. When it comes to having so many great ideas shared he says that the hardest part can be having to decide which ideas are not going to be used.

When it comes to Jorge Moll he has always been set on making sure that he attains his career goals. The thing that he says has kept him going the most is the thought that his passionate beliefs can help to impact other people’s lives and industries, by just simply doing interesting things we love doing. Another thing that he has tried to teach others is that it is ok to experience failure as long as you learn from it and get back up and keep trying. Failure is a part of learning, he states, if you never fail then you never truly learn.
